Fall festival fun

The town hall buzzed with activity as Badger and Yote pitched in for the annual fall festival. The hall was a mix of orange and gold, with hay bales stacked around tables set with baked goods and fresh cider. A mix of townsfolk bustled about, adding final touches to the decorations.
Badger heaved a bale of hay near the stage while Yote carefully arranged a pile of bright gourds. “Yote,” Badger began, wiping sweat from his brow, “you ever notice how some things just don’t need any moving parts at all to work?”
Yote grinned, catching the hint of a riddle in Badger’s tone. “Alright, hit me with it.”
Badger leaned in, still adjusting the hay. “If a sundial has the fewest moving parts of any timepiece, what has the most?”
Yote’s eyes sparkled, clearly intrigued. “I reckon it’s not as obvious as it sounds,” he muttered, deep in thought.
They both paused for a moment, watching the townsfolk, the festival preparations all around them.
Can you solve the riddle? If a sundial has the fewest moving parts of any timepiece, what has the most?
🧠 This riddle reminds us that different things can achieve the same purpose in unique ways. Like each grain of sand in an hourglass, every part of the festival adds to the whole experience—whether it's a single sundial or a community effort.
